CampingMath is a static website with no user accounts, no sign-up, and no server-side database. This policy explains the little data that is involved in using the site.

Information we do not collect

We do not require or request your name, email address, location, or any other personal information to use any calculator. Nothing you type into a calculator field is sent to us or stored on a server — every calculation runs entirely in your browser.

Local storage

When you rate a calculator using the five-star widget, your rating is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers you already rated that page. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Analytics

If analytics (Google Analytics, via gtag) is enabled on this site, it may record anonymized, aggregate usage data such as which pages are viewed and which star rating was selected for which calculator. This helps us understand which tools are useful and where estimates need improvement. The site functions identically whether or not analytics is present or blocked.

Cookies

CampingMath itself does not set tracking cookies. If analytics is enabled, the analytics provider may set its own cookies subject to its own privacy policy.

Third parties

CampingMath does not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties beyond the optional, aggregated analytics described above.

Children's privacy

CampingMath does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since no personal information is collected from any user, this is true for all age groups.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change accordingly.
